Help! Kicked out of our cabin on Caribbean Princess

How is this possible? How can Princess get away with kicking someone out of thier assigned cabin without the passengers OK. You would think they would at least call you and offer an agreeable upgrade. You we not originally a Guarr cabin were you?

It's real easy, the passenger contract we agree to allows them to do about anything. Same goes for airlines, trains etc.

I'm one that really doesn't care about cabin location so it's no big deal to me. I'm just happy to be there......

I read 'technical group' as people who will be working on some project on the ship, that they have to house, and they have chosen the least expensive cabins to house them...upgrading the previous occupants. If this is the case, you might be able to get the cabin back. But I would go to one of the online sites where you can check cabin availability to see what cabins are open. If you find an acceptable open cabin, ask your TA for that. Sites like travelocity, *****, and cruises. And add a dot com after the name. They are agencies, and you can pretend to book to get an idea of cabin availability. EM

Isn't it some of the Plaza deck cabins that are being converted to the so-called Window Suites, or is that where the new location for the casino will be? CB goes for drydock and internal modifications in January, so if I'm correct, the cabins on Plaza deck might no longer be there.

There might not be much the OP can do about this. My suggestion would be to request a cabin with a more central location, and away from elevator lobbies.

Chris, I wouldn't blame this on the TA. This sounds like a Princess thing.

I think the new suites are up on deck 6 where the casino is, and the casino going up to deck 7. I don't think anything on deck 5 is changing as far as cabins go. Just the stuff in the atrium.

I hadn't thought that technical group might mean people who are working on the ship's renovations. If so, I would like to be near them even less, since they will probably be working at night in public areas, so they will likely be coming and going from their cabins at all hours, and possibly dragging tools with them, and whatever. Sounds like more possibility of noise in the corridor. And if it is a group of workers, there is even less chance that Princess is going to move a person back to that area.
