  1. 1. Why did you not book the Triumph Group Cruise?

    • The date you chose is bad timing for me. I would have booked if you chose a different date.
    • 2010 is too far away to think about vacation plans!
    • I'm not booking any new vacations right now because of the economy.
    • Who the heck is Ship Addict? I'm not sure I want to book a group with her . . .
    • I just did the poll because they're fun -- I never had any intention of booking this ship/itinerary.
    • It took too long to get rates and I already made other vacation plans.

To be honest it was two things for me.....

1) The name of the group turned me off too.

2) Sailing from N.O. in the winter isn't really appealing either.

I was sorta surprised at the name to, being a sanctioned Cruise Critic group and all.

and I agree, having sailed out of NOLA once in the winter...sail away was chilly that day...but it warmed up quickly...:D

The date is a tad close to the holidays and people may not have the cash flow for vacation then.

and looking at the itin...Key West is the highlight. You think they could come up with a more interesting itin.

OK, the name was a bad choice!

Anyone got any suggestions? I'm certainly open for a better choice!

As far as sailing out of New Orleans, there's not much I can do about the weather. I'm pretty sure you'd be getting the same weather sailing out of Galveston or Mobile. I have sailed in November before, and if I remember correctly, it was nice and sunny by the time I made it up on deck the next morning! That's all that matters to me!

Don't want to beat it to death but I totally agree with the "name" problem. I currently have a cruise booked in January 2010 but am looking at a possible switch. The last thing I want is a group of drunks and that is what the name implied. I believe that other obstacles can be worked with as long as pricing and amenities are there. I still may consider this sailing.

Good Luck!
