As I was reaserching more I found out that one of my biggest hero's in life, Sir Sterling Moss was quoted saying 'you havnt lived if you have not tried Seabourn or Silversea'. He seems to be a frequent passenger. It got me wondering.... have any of you met intresting personalties on your voyages? If yes who what when :D

Through the years I'm sure there have been many celebrities on Seabourn. To name a few: Sir Cliff Richards has been Crossing on the Legend for the past few years. Omar Sharif use to sail often on the Pride (the Spa gals told me last year he was STILL the most handsome man that was ever aboard~~he would frequent the Beauty Salon and have his hair cut. I ask if he played Bridge while sailing....they didn't know~~I bet he did)) Tova and her husband, Ernest Borgnine sailed often aboard the Pride. Double Jeopardy, Alex Trebek was a Guest a couple of years ago. And, of course, our owner Micky Arison sails frequently ~~(so sweet and kind to the Staff and Crew)

As mentioned above, "all the Guests aboard the Yachts are treated like celebrities!" And most important......like family!:p

Celebrities other than myself?? :D I've sailed with Sir Cliff Richard, UK celeb Jane McDonald, and Sterling Moss. On the old Seabourn Sun I've sailed with Jean Stapleton, Alan Arkin and Cliff Robertson. When you're on Seabourn everyone is treated like Royalty!

I heard some crew has been sailing with Jan de Bont, Sandra Bullock and Jason Patric on the Legend a couple of years back ;)

Never heard of them except maybe Bullock (yes I have) Sailed with Robert Sangster and a crowd of pals out of Barbados a year before he died. Charming man and great businessman and racehorse owner.

Filming "Speed 2" I assume??! :D If you rent the DVD, there is a "bonus clip" at the end.. Problem is, in the dock scene, the Seabourn tent has a sign for the returning guests "Seabourne"!

Hi Bahrain,

I have cruised with Sterling Moss on four cruises in the past, and still exchange Holiday cards with he and his delightful wife. He is charming and quite entertaining.

Sir Cliff Richard was onboard for a Caribbean cruise - but he didn't mingle with the passengers. In one port, he was stuck on the ship as a Brittish cruise line was in port, and he would have been mobbed. The next cruise he was on, he did a private concert for the crew and they loved it.

Drew Barrymore was on not too long ago, and jumped off the upper deck into the water on a marina day. Seabourn escorted her off the ship, as that is not acceptable behavior, even if you are a celebrity.

Mrs. Dupont & Mrs. L'Oreal were on my first cruise in the late 90's.

You never know who you might spot sitting next to you on deck.

Seems like Drew Barrymore and Seabourn make for an odd fit anyway!!:D

Hi Dan,

I wasn't on that cruise but spoke to others that were. No, she wasn't a good fit for the ship, and yes, she was kicked off the ship.

I was onboard one other time when an obnoxious family was also put off the ship and refunded their cruise fare as well. Most of the passengers applauded when they left, as Seabourn (Colin Brown) made the right choice.

Wow, that would have made news! I wonder how it didn't??! Thanks for the info!
