Hampton Inn Central Jacksonville

Recommended Posts

Sorry I have not stayed there but can I make another suggestion:

Last night on Hotwire I won the "Staybridge Suites by Holiday Inn." It is 6 miles from the port, located in SE Jacksonville.

Amenities:

Suites

complimentary breakfast

fitness center

pool(s)

business center

laundry

Internet access

spa

$47 a night plus tax/fees.

This is a brand new hotel. Each room is a suite w/full kitchen, flat screen TV, granite counters. Looks like there are several restaurants along with a Publix nearby.

Just wanted to throw that out there in case you were interested.

Hi- Has anyone stayed at the Hampton Inn on Prudential Ave. in Jacksonville? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi,:) I haven't stayed there but I live about 10 minutes away from it.

The area is being revitalizied and there are some really

nice restaurants near it. Also, one of my favorite parts of town

called "San Marco" is near it as well....lots of shops and

restaurants and the hotel is one block from the River too.

You should be AOK:)

If you want some restaurant recommendations, let me know:)

Oh, its Prudential Drive:)

Thanks Lois- We would like the name of a good seafood restaurant within walking distance.

Also, is this area of Jacksonville the best area for walking to shops etc.?

Hi April:)when are you sailing? Walking to San Marco

would be a bit far since it gets dark so early now. A cabride

probably runs 5.00-7.00 so not bad at all.

One of my favorite places called CAFE CARMON is there.

They have a fun and funky menu..including fresh seafood.

San Marco is set up like a square with Cobblestone streets...sort of

old made new made old...if you get it.

Also, there is a Ruth's Chris near you (walkable) and Morton's

which is right outside your hotel.

Oh, there is another place near you called BB's Bistro.....I love it

there too.:D You could walk to it.

Both Cafe Carmon and BB's are locally owned with fresh

ingredients and FABULOUS desserts:) and yes, BB's has seafood too.
