Tazzycat Posted November 29, 2008 #1 Share Posted November 29, 2008 Should I expect my TA to notify me when the price of my cruise drops? Is that something that every customer expects? I am learning about all this.
HPINE1 Posted November 29, 2008 #2 Share Posted November 29, 2008 Some do and some don't. I have to either call or e-mail my TA to tell her about the price reduction. You should contact them just in case.
sail7seas Posted November 30, 2008 #3 Share Posted November 30, 2008 VERY few monitor prices for their customers. It is up to us to check the pricing and contact the TA if we find a reduction worth going after. I doubt I would call about $25 but I suppose some might. Northshorecruisers Posted November 30, 2008 #4 Share Posted November 30, 2008 My TA is very hands on and watches our cruises carefully. I'm lucky we have such a great relationship. I can always tell he is really working for me!
Rare Keith1010 Posted November 30, 2008 #5 Share Posted November 30, 2008 Some TA's are better at this than others. I would recommend watching the prices yourself and if you see a price drop letting your TA know. Keith
Arwenmark Posted November 30, 2008 #6 Share Posted November 30, 2008 The agency I use, online, has a whole dept for monitoring the reservations they hold and getting price reductions or upgrades etc. They always notify you before making upgrade type changes. Even so I watch what's going on with prices myself just to be sure.
cateyes2u Posted November 30, 2008 #7 Share Posted November 30, 2008 Should I expect my TA to notify me when the price of my cruise drops? Is that something that every customer expects? I am learning about all this. I booked directly through Carnival. Do they monitor for you? I have been logging on daily to check. Just wondering. Northshorecruisers Posted November 30, 2008 #8 Share Posted November 30, 2008 If you have booked directly with the cruiseline, I would continue to check prices yourself. Why would the cruiseline want to take money out of their pocket willingly?
Sheffie Posted November 30, 2008 #9 Share Posted November 30, 2008 I check our cruise price daily so that I can notify our TA. She has lots of customers, and I don't expect her to have the time to monitor all of them. I am lucky that I can e-mail her on weekends, so if the price goes down over the weekend, she can call and get us our reduction. We have been VERY happy with her. Good luck, OP, maybe something will happen at the last minute for you!
