HMC snorkel excursion

Has anyone done this excursion? My DH and I are going next week and I was wondering about the amount of shade on the boat over to the site. He is really WHITE and is being so nice to do this with me, but I'm a little nervous about him being burnt t a crisp. Also, what does everyone do with their stuff while snorkeling? Thanks for the help.

You will enjoy this trip. We did it this past Friday. The boat to the snorkel area was two levels, the bottom level of course was shaded by the top level. We left our back packs, etc. on the bench where we were sitting when we went in the water. I remember seeing some lockers for rent up near the information booth. We had cameras and a small amount of cash, nothing was touched. The water was clear, lots of fish to see. Some even saw a sea turtle.

Thanks so much. I can't wait it's been a long time since I've been to HMC and I'm sure I won't even recognize it. This will be the first time that my DH goes snorkeling so I hope that he enjoys it.
