Seaview cafe vs. Windjammer on radiance

I was on the radiance 5 years ago....don't remember the seaview cafe. Is it connected to the windjammer? Is it also a buffet that is open the same hours as the WJ?

The SeaView cafe is located one deck above the Windjammer. It is not a buffet, but rather an alternative restaurant. When we went on the Jewel of the Seas last year it served typical diner food.. burgers, fries, shakes, that sort of thing. I've heard that they've been trying different formats for it on difference Radiance-class ships though (like now the Jewel has a seafood restaurant there.)

 

The restaurant when we went had no added charge for food but a fee for milkshakes.

 

It's pretty small and has limited hours so a lot of people forget that its there or don't even notice it.

No it is a separate restaurant (small) that has reuben, onion rings, hamburgers, etc. It is open odd hours mostly from the late afternoon on.

we went there while on the brillance and we were able to get something to eat when the windjammer was closed.

The SeaView Cafe on Radiance is opened from noon until 6:30 on sea days. On port days it opens at 3:00 until 6:30. It is opened every evening from 9:00PM to 1:00AM.

 

You can get to the SeaView by walking through the WJ to the aft outdoor eating area and then take the stairs up to Deck 12.

FYI... Jewel of the Seas has the SeaView Cafe back in its original form with the regular menu again.

All I have to add is the seaview cafe is a GREAT alternative to the windjammer. We had late dinner seating so we would go to the Seaview after getting back on the ship from the different ports and have a light snack (the chips and salsa was great!) before getting ready for dinner. The nice thing about the Seaview cafe is that not a lot of people know where it is so it usually isn't that busy.

One thing we liked about Sea View both on Radiance and Brilliance is there usually wasn't a crowd. I think a lot of people didn't find it or else didn't want to get out in the rain and wind to get to it. The servers were very attentive and would sometimes chat with you (if you seemed interested) while you were waiting on your food.

On the Jewel last year we found the food at SeaView was soooo good. I loved the salad with Gruper. We waited in line one day. but you really didn't have to, everyone got right in. So much better then Johnny Rockets.

We loved the Seaview on Radiance - especially the Cuban Sandwich.

The best way I can describe it (on the Serenade) is FAST food served VERY SLOWLY. Not impressed.:(
