Caribbean Princess in Dominica- Tender or not?

If anyone has been on the Caribbean Princess during the 08/09 season or is going to go, can you please let me know if this ship has had to tender or not. We will be there in Feb and want to arrange scuba diving but don't know if we have to calculate a tender into the timing.

On December 2nd, we were scheduled to tender, but we docked at a cargo dock a mile north of downtown Roseau.

 

I would suggest you leave time for the traffic in the afternoon AND for the tender. Even if you do dock, Caribbean Princess was horrible at getting us off the boat on time.

 

According to the cruise log, we were:

10 minutes early on St Thomas

34 minutes late on Dominica

26 minutes late on Grenada

21 minutes late on Bonaire

8 minutes late on Aruba (how could they possibly be late getting from Bonaire to Aruba????)

 

 

Dominica was the worst. We had a VERY tight schedule, so we went down 15 minutes early. We, along with a few dozen (hundreds?) of passengers had a nice view of them taking their sweet time setting everything up, including the fake plants and getting the photographers ready. Their response for the rest of the cruise was to block off the staircases and elevators so we couldn't see how slow they were. Lovely.

When we passed thru Dominica on Ocean Village Two, back in early January

we tendered ashore to this little fishing harbour...located about mid-town.

We just got off the Caribbean

Princess last week and docked in all the ports, including Dominca. Yay!

We just visited in early November and we docked at the alternate dock. No tender. We had no delays
