Tender Ticket System on Ruby

For those of you who have just come off the
Ruby
,
can you tell me how you get your tender tickets? Are they provided to you in your room, or do you have to go somewhere to pick them up? And if you have to pick them up from somewhere, how early before actually tendering are they available? I'm a worry-wart! Thanks for your help!

Have not been on the Ruby, but unless you are elite or in a true suite, it works as follows on the other ships:

The ticket method is only used at the start of tendering. Once demand goes down, there will be an announcement and no ticket will be required.

If you are on a Princess shore excursion, you will not need a tender ticket.

Otherwise a location will be announced to pick up tender tickets, usually starting a half hour or so before tendering starts. The location and starting time will be in the Patter.

Your entire group must be ready in order to get the tender tickets. You cannot pick up tickets for people not with you.

Once you get the tickets, you need to remain in the room they were issued because that is where the announcement will be made when each set of tickets can be used.

We had to tender at 2 ports on the Ruby. (Thanksgiving week) It was done different in each port. The first time, we had to report to one of the restaurants where they gave us a ticket. We then took a seat and waited only 5 minutes or so then they escorted us down to the tender. The second time, they just had everyone report to the main theatre where they sat you in rows starting at the stage. No tickets were given. They simply took us down row by row. It may have taken 10 minutes this day. It worked very smoothly and was extremely organized. We had people in our group with priority tender tickets and they were not moved any more quickly than we were.

They will announce your instructions several times and they will be posted in the patters.

Have fun!
