Hard Rock Cafe - Aruba

I see on the hardrock website that a new one has opened in Aruba on 12/12/08. Has anyone visited yet? How far is it from where the ships dock? If you took a cab, what did it cost?

I'm surprised the Hard Rock is open already. When I departed the island on 11 December, it was still under construction. So, I would double check that just to be sure.

 

It is located near the high-rise hotels. It would take about 10 minutes to drive there from the port. I'm not sure about the cost of a taxi-ride for that distance. I'll be back on the island in a couple weeks and will check it out and post a video on my blog.

Last night we drove by and the place was full of hustle/bustle!

They hv installed a giant neon guitar outside!

It looks great fm the outside!

It is definitely open. Looks good. Still smells like fresh paint. Food and service were both good.

It was a 10 minute ride from the ship. It is in the 'high-rise' hotel district. We hired a van and driver for the afternoon, so I don't know the price of a cab for sure. Based on what I heard others saying, it was about $20-25 to that area.

By cab you can expect to pay $10 each way. ( On Sundays or Holidays a bit more)

By public bus (very easy) $1.25 ea way.

Stopped by the Hard Rock Cafe in Aruba today. It's a decent place, a little smaller than ones in the US. Anyway, there is a video on my blog that shows it inside and out. A link to my blog is part of my signature.
