So what's the most you've won on a casino on board RCC

Recommended Posts

Roulette is really easy to play and is the only "table" game I feel comfortable playing. Basically, there's a table with numbers 1-36 on it, plus 0 and 00. You take your bet (make sure it is at least the minimum - say for the purpose of this discussion it is $10) and you get 10 $1 chips (all in a color specific to you). You can put your chips on the numbers in what ever manner you see fit. You can put one chip on 10 different numbers, and if the ball lands on one of those numbers you get $36. Or, you can put a chip in between two numbers, so if the ball lands on one of those two numbers you get $13.

Then, there's the "outside" bets. This is where you usually hear about betting on red and black. You can put your chips on either red or black - you could put 5 chips on red and then 5 $1 dollar chips on 5 different numbers...then if it lands on red, you win. Also on the outside is "evens/odds" where it is the same philosophy as betting on red or black.

Hopefully I've done an ok job of explaining. I love roulette and think it is very easy to learn.

Won $1000 on the Wheel of Fortune slot in Nov 2005 on board the Rhapsody...that same morning also won $418 playing bingo. It was great, last day on the ship and I was able to go pay off my on board tab at the pursers desk. Coming home owing zero was very nice!!:D

I won about $2,000 playing Wheel of Fortune on the Voyager during Spring Break last year.:D In 2007 on the Grand Princess I also hit a jackpot on the Wheel of Fortune...I think that one was about $1,700. Spring Break has been kind to me, but other times of the year I can't sniff so much as two cherries, so that probably balances it out a bit.

Our first cruise on Navigator, DH won $28,000.00 playing Caribbean stud. He hit a royal flush. That was on New Year's day. :D He had proposed on the first formal night. A TOTAL surprise!! That was some first cruise!! Then we were on Oosterdam for my 50th birthday, and I hit a royal flush playing video poker, but I wasn't playing the max bet, so I didn't get the jackpot!! Oh well!! I think I still got about $200.00.

Won $1600 on the Enchantment of the Seas

Won $2200 on the Voyager

Won $3800 on the Serenade of the Seas

My Hubby won $900 on the Liberty

These were all slot machines. three quarters. We put the winnings in the safe each time. We play $100 per night and beside those winnings, we came out ahead each night with the rest of the $100.

How does this 'wheel of fortune' game work - is it like the TV show?

It's just like a regular 3-window slot machine. If you bet the max bet ($3) and the last window comes up "free spit" you can win up to $1000. Sometimes you can get a bunch of free spins in no time at all and then sometimes you can play off a couple of hundred dollars and never see one.

I won $500 two years ago on the Carnival Legend. You have to play all 3 windows to get the opportunity to spin for money. I was playing the quarter machine.

A guy sat down next to me, spun one time and got $1000!

My DH usually comes out to the good playing 21 at the tables, either on the ship or in Vegas. We also play the tourneys for slots and blackjack on board that are on sea days. It's part of the fun of cruising for us!

Sorry, meant to type "free spin" not spit. :D

When you get hand paid, they do take down you name and cabin number but nothing is reported to the IRS. It's up to you to report all winnings as income but for some reason, most people forget little things like that when it's time to file taxes. :D Not that I would condone that practice. :D
