Thomson Cruises Premier Service available from May 2008 ?

Recommended Posts

Hi

Hoping to book our first cruise very shortly (maybe Celebration February).

Found some excellent information here and of course on the Thomson website. One thing I cannot find on the website or reference to and a Med Cruiser I know said if you book a suite now you get some extras like a higher luggage allowance and maybe priority check in. I can see this service mentioned on the Thomson website (underneath the picture of a suite on the Celebration) but nothing detailing what the service includes.

I'll be calling in the Thomson shop in my local high street tomorrow but wondered if anyone here had booked and received this service ?

Hi Sumdumgi,

I found the following for you on Thomson's website. I hope it answers your question;

Thomson Cruises Premier Service

To be eligible for the Premier Service you must book a Suite or Grand Suite(all ships), a Deluxe cabin (Thomson Destiny only) or a Premier cabin (The Calypso only) and a Thomson Airways flight.

The following benefits will only apply to your time onboard. As such, they will only be available during the cruise part of any 'cruise and stay' or 'stay and cruise' holiday:

Express check-in and express luggage delivery: express check-in is subject to availability at all ports. The express luggage delivery service only applies from your arrival at the port - you will be responsible for your luggage until this point. The express service means your luggage will be the first to be delivered from quayside to cabin.

Complimentary pressing service & breakfast in bed option: the complimentary pressing service is only available during your first 24 hours onboard and is limited to 3 items per person. Normal onboard laundry terms and conditions apply. The complimentary breakfast in bed option is a continental breakfast.

Personal concierge service: onboard each ship there will be specialist concierge staff available to offer you a more personal guest relations service.

The following benefits are included in the price for holidays departing before 17 April 2009 only:

UK Priority Check-In: Available at the Thomson Premium check-in desk, subject to availability and is only only available at Gatwick, Manchester and Birmingham airports.

Seating together: We will endeavour to seat your party together where possible but bookings within 4 weeks of departure may result in loss of this benefit. All seating options are subject to availability on the flight. We are unable to guarantee seating together where a 3rd party flight or Thomson Airways scheduled allocation is utilised. See “Holiday Options” for details on restrictions. You must call 0871 231 4132 (calls cost 10p per minute at all times from BT landlines; other operator networks may vary) to request this option.

Complimentary Drink & Headphones: Complimentary drink and headphones are only applicable on your departure flight from the UK and can be claimed via use of the vouchers provided in your ticket book – you must ensure these are packed in your hand luggage and presented to the Thomson Airways air steward to claim these items. Champagne is excluded as the complimentary drink. A limited number of scheduled Thomson Airways aircraft (737-300, 737-500 & 737-800) do not have entertainment services and therefore headphones will not be provided on these services.

VIP Airport Experience Discounts (subject to availability): 25% concession on airport hotels and meet and greet valet service from the airport terminal. To book these options call 0871 231 4831 giving the reference “Thomson Premier” and your holiday reference. 25% discount at UK airport VIP lounges are bookable via Thomson Airways Customer Services on 0871 231 4869 giving your holiday reference. (Calls cost 10p per minute at all times from BT landlines. Other operator networks may vary). Smart casual dress is required and under 12s are not permitted.

I found this by clicking on A-Z Booking Information on their cruise website.

Rachel.

Hi Sumdumgi,

Thanks for that, I had relied upon the search function on the website which didn't bring up anything relevant

Anyway I ended up booking on the telephone last night so we are off on the Colourful Coasts with the Celebration on 31 Janaury, picking her up at Gran Canaria.

This will be our first cruise and so fingers crossed for decent weather but everything we have read here and elsewhere suggests we should have a very good time :)
