Host Walt Posted November 12, 2004 #1 Share Posted November 12, 2004 I received an email from a member who is sailing in December and will be on board on Christmas Day, inquiring about gifts for cabin stewards, so I am repeating the question here for member input. I would suggest a food or confection item that is unique to your region of the country or just a Christmas card with a prepaid $10 - $25 phone card inside. Any other thoughts? springtxbill Posted November 12, 2004 #2 Share Posted November 12, 2004 I would agree with the food items that could be eaten as a diversion from the same food on the ships, or tthe phone cards. The crew has no where to keep a lot of bulky well meant gifts. The food will be enjoyed and the phone cards used.
aqusis Posted November 15, 2004 #3 Share Posted November 15, 2004 Please remember that a large number of the onboard staff may be from countries or cultures that do not recognize/celebrate Christmas. If you feel like giving them something extra as a celebration of the season, I think cash would be the most useful. Phone cards purchased in the US are often difficult to use outside the US.
