shopping question

Another question...

If we go shopping in the morning, what time do the shops open and do we have to take a taxi to get to the shopping area?

We just retd yesterday from 10 days in St Thomas. I found the stores opened around 9:00'ish in Havensight Mall. Some would open sooner, but 9:00 is probably a safe bet for all of them.

 

I do not know what time the downtown stores open. Downtown shopping I felt was primarily jewelry stores. This is our 4th visit to St Thomas and definitely prefer Havensight Mall to the downtown area for shopping.

 

Depending on where your ship docks will determine whether you'll need to take a cab. You'll most likely dock near Havensight Mall and can walk. If you want to go downtown you'll need a taxi.
