Tipping - Cheap or Prudent?

Recommended Posts

It would be customary for you to tip the entire amount. You will only have an assigned table and waiter for dinner. If you were to eat in the dining room for other meals you would be at a different table every time depending on when you arrived and served by different staff each time. The 'tip' for the wait staff is generally considered to cover all their service whether it be at dinner, in the Windjammer or at the other meals in the dining room.

Tipping - Cheap or Prudent?

i plan on only eating dinner in the dining room for my upcoming cruise. being that the waiter will only serve me a third of the time, would it be appropriate to give him a third of the recommended tip?

That's an easy one - Cheap.

oh don't start that thread again. it causes temperatures to rise!

Just pay the traditional and prudent tips...its how they make their money.

You'll feel good and the waiters wait on you everywhere on the ship.

thanks for the quick replies...now that i know that the "share the wealth" principle is applied, i will be certain to do the honorable thing!

Cruise lines are without a doubt a Socialist.

Just think of the tips as another charge.
