SouthernCaribbean Posted January 10, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 10, 2009 I thought this was a wonderful article. My mom was a caregiver for several years, so I can really appreciate the toll it takes and the need for a break. http://www.ocregister.com/articles/caregivers-time-people-2277199-years-says?slideshow=

deborahjo Posted January 10, 2009 #3 Share Posted January 10, 2009 What a very generous man who truly understands what it is like being a caregiver. Bless him.
MarylandLady Posted January 10, 2009 #4 Share Posted January 10, 2009 What a very generous man who truly understands what it is like being a caregiver. Bless him. I agree. Been there and done that! Thanks to my parents giving me a break, my daughter and I were able to take our first Carnival cruise on the Mardi Gras. Unless you have been there, you have no idea how a caregiver needs a break, even if only for a few days.:)
