cozumel and cancun

Does anyone out know how far is it from cozumel to cancun?

I also will like to know what ships actually go to cancun?

Anyone has this information?

Cozumel is an island off the coast of the mainland. Somone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe Playa del Carmen is dropoff point on the mainland but not sure how close to Cancun it is. I'm not sure which ships but I think most of them stop there to drop off people doing the ruins tours.

I believe Sally has answered this on another thread, but it would be a shame to miss out on Cozumel if you are docked there. You would have to take a ferry to Playa de Carmen & then a several hour trip driving to Cancun. I do not believe I've seen any Carnival ships stop at Cancun, but JMHO, please enjoy Cozumel if you are there.

It's about a 35 minute trip to Playa del Carmen by ferry, then an hour and 15 minute bus ride to Cancun. Is there something special about Cancun for you? Cozumel is a much nicer place!
