My husband and I are in our late 20's and are going to stay at the Marriott Coral Gables before POM as well. If you go before 3/22, please pass along any advice about hotel and area! : )

We're also in a similar 'boat' so to speak - staying in Coral Gables pre-cruise in early Feb. I'll post if what I experience when we get back.

 

I've found chowhound dot com often has good recommendations from serious foodies - they've shown me the way to some amazing yet affordable food in other cities.
