Rare Radio Posted January 24, 2009 Author #151 Share Posted January 24, 2009 Radio, Thanks for letting us cruise along with you. I've looked forward to and enjoyed each entry of your trip. Your photos are terrific !! What type of camera do you have?? I either need a much better camera or need to hire you to come on our vacations as our official photographer :D Ha ha, thanks. . Most of the pics were made with a Sony DSC-H10, but then I only posted about 100 pics, and I took over 700. . . . Sometimes 6 pics of something= 1 good photo :o I will be posting many other pics to HERE later in the week. Thanks again ! Arizona Cruz Chic Posted January 24, 2009 #152 Share Posted January 24, 2009 Hi Radio, thanks for taking us along on your Majesty cruise.....As always its just like being there. Sorry your weather was a bit cool...as you said cold! I guess you do need to book a So Caribbean cruise. :) Maybe that could be your Disney cruise! Looks like you were able to enjoy KSC all to yourself....it sure is a fascinating place. If you ever get the chance there is a space center in Huntsville AL that we have visited twice. It's not as big as KSC, mostly a space camp but has a lot of bells and whistles for those who like NASA. Have a safe drive home. ***

elruth Posted January 24, 2009 #154 Share Posted January 24, 2009 For parking....we are staying at the Airport Radisson in Charleston. They have a Cruise Package. For $134 we stay Friday night, get to park our car for the week, transportation to the port and pick up from the port on return, and a full breakfast Saturday morning prior to sailing. My "justification" to DH...since parking at the port is $105, we basically get a night at the Radisson (on a Sleep Number bed) and a full breakfast for $29....I'm not sure that he bought it, but I'm looking forward to sleeping in on Saturday morning instead of driving in from Raleigh and having to get on the road at 6am. Thanks so much for recommending this cruise package in Charleston. I made reservations for March 20th and with the room and breakfast and shuttle service to and from the port and free parking at the hotel, the price is $ 159.00 including taxes. Guess they went up in price from what you got but still a good deal.

RedHeadTexan Posted January 25, 2009 #164 Share Posted January 25, 2009 Radio, it was great to meet you on the cruise and I enjoyed reading your "Live" posts this morning. We had a great week on the ship and will miss the Majesty and her crew. I will hopefully post my review of the cruise today and will be posting pictures of our adventures on my blog soon. I am sorry to hear you did not make it over to GSC. We were on the first tender in the morning and were able to hike to the lighthouse, shop at the straw market, and have lunch. We were in the tender line to go back to the ship to grab our snorkel gear when the evacuation happened. I am happy that we did hike to the other side of the island...that was great! ready4abreak Posted January 30, 2009 #173 Share Posted January 30, 2009 Are the shows aboard the Majesty family friendly? Do you know if the kids program takes the kids to the shows? We will be on the Majesty in April. My husband and I like to go to the shows, but our kids are sometimes resistant. It doesn't help our problem if we take them to the kids program and then they end up there anyway. Just wanting to know so I am mentally prepared. *Wink* Posted January 30, 2009 #174 Share Posted January 30, 2009 Are the shows aboard the Majesty family friendly? Do you know if the kids program takes the kids to the shows? We will be on the Majesty in April. My husband and I like to go to the shows, but our kids are sometimes resistant. It doesn't help our problem if we take them to the kids program and then they end up there anyway. Just wanting to know so I am mentally prepared. It really depends on how old your children are. Are the shows "for adults only?" Some are, some aren't, but they're not geared towards children. If you read Radio's Majesty Dailies in the link he provided, you'll see which shows are definitely not for kids. For the musical productions, it's up to you on if they'd enjoy them. Would they like a hammy Vegas type show with singing and dancing? Kids who disrupt shows are an annoyance, but I'm sure you know that. The kids in the kid's program are not taken to the evening shows.
