cruiserpatr Posted January 22, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 22, 2009 what are the possibilities for dinner at La Saletta ? prices with and without wines ?
luvtojump Posted January 22, 2009 #2 Share Posted January 22, 2009 On our recent sailing, the choices were $30 per person without wine and $200 per person with wine. PS. The name was changed with the refurb. It is now Le Champagne (like the Whisper and Shadow). I am assuming that they will also change it on the Cloud for continuity. luvtojump Posted January 22, 2009 #4 Share Posted January 22, 2009 If you choose to do the $30 pp option, then wine is for purchase. The list is very nice and not outrageously priced in my opinion. Bon Appetit!
wripro Posted January 22, 2009 #5 Share Posted January 22, 2009 For $200pp you get a wine pairing with each course and they are excellent wines. For $30pp you can purchase a bottle off the list for a reasonable amount making the whole experience much more reasonable.

Bon Appetit! The wine list went from $50 to $1,000+We chose a bottle of red wine at $70 in December, 2007 for the two of us and it was fine. The remainder got delivered to our cabin the next morning, together with a scroll (our menu).
mdmourges Posted January 23, 2009 #7 Share Posted January 23, 2009 We did the wine pairing thing a few years back on Silver Whisper. I think it was $150/pp at the time. They sat us with another couple. There were so few people dining that I think they gave us more than a glass per course. The food was awesome, the wines were out of this world. And yes, we were a bit wobbly when we left. We are on Silver Cloud in April (San Juan to Barbados) and probably will do this again. Mark
