fletchers5 Posted April 23, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 23, 2004 Trying to find a good beach to snorkel while in nassau. I have heard Love beach is good.Looking for a beach somewhat close to Tobbacco Bay in Bermuda. Kind of enclosed by rocks so no waves. Anyone ever been to one like this in nassau. Diane&4girls Posted April 23, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 23, 2004 We were just at Cabbage Beach on Paradise Island. The kids snorkeled and we also rode waverunners. We thought it was a nice beach... actually better then any beach in Bermuda. vaokie Posted April 24, 2004 #4 Share Posted April 24, 2004 mariapd719, cprincess here. What is the bus schedule like for picking people up form Cable Beach? How frequently do they run is what I'm wondering. And how long of a bus ride is it over there? We won't be in Nassau for very long. ctsgop Posted April 26, 2004 #7 Share Posted April 26, 2004 We took the Blackbeard's Cay excursion and spent the morning on a private beach. The excursion was inexpensive (approx. $19 each) which included the ferry ride to the island, beach chairs, and punch drink (non-alcoholic). The island is equipped with showers, clean restrooms and wave runner rental. My teenage daughter and her friend befriended the young men renting the jet skis and were able to get a 15 minute rental for just $15-would have been free, but the boss returned in the middle of the transaction. Normal rental fee was $60 for 30 minutes. Not too shabby! mariapd719 Posted April 28, 2004 #12 Share Posted April 28, 2004 I think the ride was 10 mins maybe 15 tops (it was a couple yrs ago) and the bus was right there when we left - we didnt have to wait at all. I think they run very often - I hope someone can answer your question because I cant remember exactly. We got dropped off at a hotel with an awaesome casino(awesome cuz i won) and went straight through out the back onto the beach. They had jet skis there also. Ill ask my cousin for more accurate details.
