Unlimited Laundry Service and Dining Room Embarkation?

I am new to HAL and have just a couple of questions...for now anyway?;)

 

1. I thought I read on another thread that you could pay one flat fee for laundry service throughout the cruise. No limit to the use. Is this true on the Eurodam and if so what is the flat fee?

 

2. Upon Embarkation do you have lunch at the Lido or in the Dining Room? It seems I have read reviews for both.

UNLIMITED LAUNDRY: Pricing for unlimited Laundry is:

- 7-day itinerary, $45.00 with no limit

- 10-day itinerary, $70.00 with no limit

- 14-16 day itinerary $95.00 with no limit

- 17-21 day itinerary $120.00 with no limit

HOLIDAY SAILING LAUNDRY PACKAGE: Pricing during Holiday sailings only:

- 7-day itinerary, $50.00 with a limit of 75 items.

- 10-day itinerary, $75.00 with a limit of 100 items

- 14-16 day itinerary $99.00 with no limit

- 17-21 day itinerary $125.00 with no limit

 

There is also an unlimited pressing only package for $30 per person for up to 21-day sailings, add $5 for every week beyond 21-days.

 

 

Laundry by the Bag: For a flat fee of $12.00, guests can launder as many items as they can fit inside one Holland America laundry bag. This offer does not include dry cleaning.

 

Requires 48 hours for the processing and the return. This offer is valid until 2 days before the end of the cruise

 

As for the dining room, it is usually open from Noon to 1 pm. The lido is open from the time the ship boards on.

We were ushered directly to the dining room in a large group. Other groups about the same size were ushered to the Lido. It was not a choice when we embarked on our 08/04/08 Eurodam cruise.

I still have my "The Voyage Begins" information from our Eurodam cruises -- Nov 22 and Nov 29. (I know -- my DH tells me I save too much stuff at times.)

Laundry by the bag was $16 -- allow 72 hours.

Laundry package for the 7 day cruise was $45 -- allow 48 hours.

Unlimited pressing service for a 7 day cruise was $39 -- allow 48 hours.

Just returned from the Amsterdam and laundry by the bag jumped from $12/bag to $20/bag on January 1st. Unlimited laundry for our 20-day cruise was $120.

We are on the HAL cruise from Auckland to Hong Kong leaving Auckland 3/16 and would like find out if there are any small group tours from the ports the ship will be docked at.
