Bars7816 Posted January 8, 2014 #52 Share Posted January 8, 2014 Loved the part about the "Attitudes" party. Yes, some participants do have an attitude about them don't they? But all frivolity aside, we had free-flowing free drinks at two Latitudes parties on the Breakaway, and a third smaller champagne get together in Maltings on Veterans Day. All sponsored by NCL. And of course, all our other drinks were free, too -- compliments of OBC, that is!:D
Rare ttnc4me Posted February 23, 2014 #53 Share Posted February 23, 2014 The free drinks being given by the friendly singing staff when getting back on board from a port are the best!

LrgPizza Posted February 23, 2014 #55 Share Posted February 23, 2014 When I read the autograph part I was like oh this man must be really good looking. Hahaha silly of me oh I enjoyed your post so much :):):) I know! The same thing happened to us, but it started before we even got on the boat when the paparazzi blocked our attempt to board so the could snap an awkward picture of us with carry-ons and tired eyes. They must've figured out we weren't really famous, because I never saw it in the tabloids. Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
DMH15 Posted February 23, 2014 #56 Share Posted February 23, 2014 I still watch my dvd of Gilligan's Island. Funny is funny. And timeless. I don't care if this thread is old. So am I - and I am not going anywhere. And in response to the person who felt Zimo was encouraging bad behavior... Guess what? Those types do not need any encouragement. We are all responsible for our own behaviour and how we respond to others'. Zimo, me thinks it is time for a sequel. swedish weave Posted February 23, 2014 #57 Share Posted February 23, 2014 Zimo may be the guy who emailed his neighbor to apologize for using his wife every time he saw him drive away. After the fight started, he sent a correction saying he meant WIFI !!!!!

artist47 Posted February 23, 2014 #59 Share Posted February 23, 2014 My wife saw my previous post about our last NCL cruise and the free stuff we got. She pointed out a bunch of things I forgot. The first thing I forgot …when we first got on the ship, they gave us a free glass of champagne or OJ. Damn nice. Later that day when we went on deck one of the waiters handed me another drink in a fancy glass. He must have thought I was famous because he asked me for an autograph. That continued all the first day. They must have figured out later I was a nobody because no one handed me any fancy drinks after day one. Every night at dinnertime we had a tough time choosing which restaurant to eat at. We would go to each hostess stand and get one of them free buzzer things that look like a garage door opener and whatever one went off first, that’s where we went to dinner. By the end of the week, we had quite a supply of them. We will be selling em on Ebay soon cheap, so maybe you can pick one up for your cruise. Dinners were a surprise as they came with unlimited drinks, if you liked water or iced T. You could get as many serving of food as you wanted as well. I think I set some kind of record when I ordered three lobster tails, the waiter sure acted like it. We had been on an NCL ship before so we got invited to an Attitudes party and we did manage to snag a bunch of free drinks and hors de ovaries. Pretty kewl, we got to rub elbows with the Captain, staff and some blue bloods. I think someone special was supposed to be there as I kept hearing people talking in whispers about Anoro Vyrus. Never saw him. When we went to the NCL private island they gave us free cruise tickets to get on another boat to go over and come back because we could not dock. I always wanted to sail on the Norway. Was not as big as I expected. They advertised that they had a free Bar B Q on the island, except all we found were hotdogs, hamburgs and pizza. Musta been on the other side of the island. They had these free magic signs that you put in your door. They worked every time. If you put the “Do not disturb” side up, your room was like frozen in time and was EXACTLY the same when you came back. And if you turned it over to the make up room side, when you returned, it was like magic, everything was clean and tidy like when you first walked in. I took several home, routed out the same size slot in our bedroom door, stuck in a sign, and nothing, the magic was gone….. There were some very kewl animals left in our room every night too. The wife was kinda disappointed when we got home because when she washed em they turned into towels. I think she washed the magic outta them too. I hope our experiences help you with your cruise choice. If you have any questions, please ask. Printing this out and sending it to my dad. He reads these boards too and says similar things. Wait a minute...is this my dad??? LOL So funny!
