littlemuffin Posted February 5, 2009 #1 Share Posted February 5, 2009 I registered my son for the C & A card recently. We have completed 3 cruises and after April we will have 5 credits (JS). When his card arrived he is listed as platinum status. Does that mean we can us the platinum priviledges?? TIA!
bbrad8 Posted February 5, 2009 #2 Share Posted February 5, 2009 littlemuffin: Since your son should have received the 'highest' status w/in your family, sounds like either mom or dad (or both) have extra credits as far as C&A is concerned (has happened to many before). Might be worth checking your status on the RCI site or calling C&A. ;) IF your son does in fact have the 'highest' C&A status and resides w/ you, then yes the rest of the family at that address also has the Platinum status..........at least that is the way it has always worked!!! AMommyof2 Posted February 6, 2009 #3 Share Posted February 6, 2009 My son was made Platinum before my husband and I, too. I'm sure it was just a mistake, because my 4 year old can't cruise without me and daddy paying for it.:) Your cruise docs and set sail passes should both have your C&A status printed on them. Be sure the check both of them. On my most recent cruise, my docs had me listed as Platinum, which is correct, but my card had me listed as a first timer on RCCL. I was able to quickly get a new card and got all of my platinum benefits.
bubbadog Posted February 6, 2009 #4 Share Posted February 6, 2009 Yes,you can use benefits for platinum,I would check your cruise personalizer/account,and see if you show as platinum there,if not it's ok,you still get plat discounts-perks,have a great cruise and enjoy:):D
wolfcathorse Posted February 6, 2009 #5 Share Posted February 6, 2009 We were Platinum when we registered our 26 yr old live at home son. He got enrolled at the Gold level. Go figure.
Future Cop 1987 Posted February 6, 2009 #6 Share Posted February 6, 2009 You may be plat because your son is if your accounts are connected you should get the credits. Thats what happened to me, thats how I got the largest portion of my credits
Clarea Posted February 6, 2009 #7 Share Posted February 6, 2009 Call Crown & Anchor because if you are Platinum, you can immediately get a discount on cruises you have booked in balcony or above cabins.
