G'ma Posted February 9, 2009 #27 Share Posted February 9, 2009 Bedbugs make good healines. Media love a nice nasty, creepy, sensational story of infestation on cruise ships and hotels. The very, very rare occurance of finding bedbugs on a cruise ship somewhere bring out the vultures of the news media and the hysterical nitwits who believe everything they see....or read....as long as they don't have to look beyond the surface. These pests, like mosquitos, can be found almost anywhere.

cruisernh Posted February 10, 2009 #29 Share Posted February 10, 2009 With the traveling we have done we encountered bed bugs once in a hotel in FLL, They took care of it right away. Even called the head housekeeper in on a Sunday Morning. Hotels and ships take it seriously.
momofzeke Posted February 10, 2009 #30 Share Posted February 10, 2009 just google cruise and the next word bruise...good luck There is a reason that website won't show up here. That site is notorious for misinformation and rumors. Not saying there are never any bedbugs, just sayin'.................. :p You can encounter bedbugs anywhere. Carnival ships, other cruise lines, hotels ~ even some of the most expensive hotels have occasional bedbugs.
tedjazz Posted February 10, 2009 #31 Share Posted February 10, 2009 You can encounter bedbugs anywhere. Those "Occasional Bedbugs" are the worst, so unpredictable, I'll take the "Constant" Bedbugs anywhere, anytime, at least you know what to expect ;)
