Pre-booking Carnival excursions online

There is one excursion we want to book for our upcoming cruise. If we go ahead and book online, will they put the tickets in our cabin or do we have to go down to the shore excursion desk and pick them up? Has anyone ever had any problems pre-booking excursions (like they didn't have your ticket etc)?

The tickets will be in your cabin the evening of the first night.

As LibertyCruiser says, the tickets will be delivered to your cabin the first evening. We've never had a problem with reservations booked ahead - the only thing is that you have to pay for them when you book them, even if it's months ahead. I suppose that could be a good thing - it's an expense that's been pre-paid before you board so no additional expense during the cruise.

The excursions you pre-purchase are listed on your e-doc's (tickets) so when you get on-board there should be no confusion if the somehow the tickets aren't in your room.

It's a 'piece of cake', which is why we sometimes still book thru CCL!..:)

 

It is usually cheaper, and less crowded, on some 'private' shore excursions, but Carnival does a good job on most..:D

 

Naturally, the plus side of a CCL excursion is if the tour is late, the ship will wait for you...! It has happened...;)

 

We did a Panama Canal Cruise, and booked thru the ship... Our tour was 2 1/2 hours late, and low and behold, there was our ship waiting at the pier for us...:p Ship left within minutes after our arrival...
