Help Needed For Someone Who's Computer Illiterate

Okay, when it comes to computers I'm a dummy (when it comes to lots of other things, now that I think of it!). Anyways, I've tried to post a countdown clock and it never works! Instead, all I'm left with is the http or whatever that should be the countdown. Now, I admit to being computer illiterate, but my highly intelligent wife also couldn't get it to work. Could a moderator or someone with higher intelligence possibly explain it to me? Thanks.
