Black Shorts in Caribbean?

Hi all,

Just started to pull out the summer clothes for our trip (need to do something since I've done most of my research at this point!!)

Is it OK to bring black shorts/skorts to W. Carib? I doubt its super hot now and I certainly wear these colors in a Chicago summer. I have purchased several tanks in "hot colors" (pinks/yellows) to coordinate. Just don't want to end up bringing 8 prs. of shorts for 4 nt. cruise!!

I don't see why black shorts in particular would be a problem. I have a pair that I love to wear because they look a lot nicer than regular "jeans" material shorts.

Of course! People wear lots of black in tropical areas ... it's the fabric more than the colour that matters.

Color doesn't matter (unless it's Camoflage--that's not allowed on the islands!!!) Shorts are shorts, no matter the color!

I have a couple of pairs of black shorts and usually one of them

always goes to the Caribbean:)

Columbia brand...they are a nylon and are terrific..they dry in

2 minutes:D;)

I have a pair of black shorts already sitting in my suitcase, all ready for our upcoming cruise! I will probably wear then at least twice.

I always bring with black shorts. They are easy to mix and match! And can make so many different outfits. They are drip dry, so a quick wash in the sink and outside on the balcony to dry, within a short period of time.

I bring a pair every time. Very forgiving if you happen to spill something on them!

Thanks everyone - put the black shorts and skort in the evergrowing "to pack" pile. Will throw in my Columbia hiking shorts too...sounds like they'd be ideal for the shore excursion to Cozumel.:o
