cruisergrandma Posted February 17, 2009 #1 Share Posted February 17, 2009 Does anyone know of a bus - or other reasonably priced transportation - from Seattle to Vancouver. I won airline tickets to Seattle but, really want to cruise out of Vancouver. Amtrak is not really a good option since we would also have to get to and from the airport from the Amtrak Station. Carnival does not offer transfers from Seattle. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Budget Queen Posted February 17, 2009 #2 Share Posted February 17, 2009 Quick Shuttle. I've used them several times with good, direct, service. http://www.quickcoach.com/
COJOMAY Posted February 17, 2009 #3 Share Posted February 17, 2009 I am also using Quick Shuttle from the airport in Seattle. It takes you right to the ship's dock.
Disneyworld Posted February 17, 2009 #4 Share Posted February 17, 2009 We will be flying out of Orlando Florida to Seattle, we too have free tickets to Seattle (only one way). We arrive at 1:25 pm in Seattle and are taking the 4:15 flight out of Seattle to Vancouver, spending the night in Vancouver, then leaving on our Cruise that pm. We just feel better already being in Vancouver the day of the cruise rather than staying overnight in Seattle and travelling the day of the cruise. We are taking B2B cruises, so we'll then fly out of Vancouver since our free tickets were only one way. (actually it was one rt ticket, but they allowed us to do 2 one ways) the one way to Vancouver on Air Canada was 126. each. It is pricier than the bus or Amtrak, but it only takes 45 mins. to get there rather than the 4 or so hours by bus. After hours of flying from Orlando, we thought this extra money would be worth it. Of course, it is only 2 of us, and we know this extra can be pricey for larger parties.
marv0us78 Posted February 19, 2009 #5 Share Posted February 19, 2009 What is the chance of deley on the Quickshuttle from Seattle to Vancouver
Putterdude Posted February 19, 2009 #6 Share Posted February 19, 2009 There is always some chance of delay at the border. But if you allow a drive time of 3 hrs plus a 2 hr wait at the border you should be more than safe. The buses do use an expidited lane at the truck crossing and ordinarily clear customs much faster than cars.

Putterdude Posted February 19, 2009 #8 Share Posted February 19, 2009 It will work just fine...even if you were delayed at the border it would be for a max of an hour putting you at the cruise temrinal by 12:10.
