Missus Makkem Posted February 24, 2009 #2 Share Posted February 24, 2009 Does anyone have any recommendations for parking at Harwich? Thanks. do you mean for the duration of your cruise? If so there is a carpark right along side the ship, you can see the cars from the outer decks. Left ours there before, great.
sddsddean Posted February 24, 2009 #3 Share Posted February 24, 2009 I made enquiries on behalf of my brother, who almost did a Jewel cruise. I phoned the number given to me by RCI and the lady said you don't have to pre book and it was £72 for the (I think) 11 night cruise. MistyMoo Posted February 25, 2009 Author #4 Share Posted February 25, 2009 Yes, I am interested in parking our car there for the duration of the cruise. Does anyone have the name of the parking lot company or a phone number?
sddsddean Posted February 25, 2009 #5 Share Posted February 25, 2009 Haven't got the name, but the phone number is 01255 242000. Simon
kruzseeka Posted February 25, 2009 #6 Share Posted February 25, 2009 Isn't the cruise company providing you with a phone number for the car-parking? (I think we paid £95 for 14 nights.) On each occasion we've sailed from Harwich, there was a secure compound specifically for our trip to which our cases were returned for pick-up at the end of the cruise. It was very straight-forward with shuttle buses laid on for the transfer to and from the car parking area to the quayside.
sddsddean Posted February 25, 2009 #7 Share Posted February 25, 2009 That is the phone number supplied by RCI. It gets you through to the port parking people. Simon

MistyMoo Posted February 26, 2009 Author #9 Share Posted February 26, 2009 We are booked on Celebrity and the agent there could not give me the name of the parking company. She also had a price of £5 per day, but said it was subject to change.
sddsddean Posted February 26, 2009 #10 Share Posted February 26, 2009 I'd still try the number...I can't believe there are different parking companies for different cruise lines (though you never know!), but at worst they should be able to point you in the right direction. peck Posted March 1, 2009 #12 Share Posted March 1, 2009 I spoke to the port authorities and you do not have to pre book car parking and they gaurantee all cruisers a parking space at £6.50 a day for a 11 night cruise.
