The van tours that they arrange right there under a tent when you get off the ship are very cheap, very fun, and the drivers are great. We went on one and our driver even took us out for an extra almost 2 hours. We had one of the best times ever.. I highly recommend them. We just stood there until they gathered a group of about 10 of us. We had so much fun and we all watched out for each other and we felt very safe. I don't recommend venturing out on your own in Accapulco.

I would highly recommend Rudy (*********.com). We just took a tour with him a few weeks ago when we were on the Millennium. He was very knowlegable and went out of his way to make our day in Acapulco special. He has a very nice air conditioned van and speaks excellent English. Eight of us took his tour and we were all very, very pleased!

We had a magnificent tour with rudy at the end of september while staying in Acapulco. We came late into the port and rudy managed to be the first one at the divers and even showed us a better viewing place than the other guys do. Despite the fact that we had only 3 hours instead of 5 he managed to show us all the beautiful secret gems of acapulco and showed us also where the normal and poor guys live. The tour was very impressive and rudy managed to get us back to the ship earlier than other buses from princess shore excursions. The bus he has is really good, everyone of us got a special gift and we had plenty of drinks in the cars´ cooler.

In general: if You are in Acapulco ... go for rudy ! You won´t be sorry about it!

Our tour consisted of 2 couples. We were in a clean, large van with working AC, small assortment of liquid refreshments and a very polite, knowledgeable driver, Jose. We were picked up in port, on time and for the agreed price. There was no "new negotiations" needed and we were whisked away.

Our half day tour was actually much longer and we saw some of the older hotels that had Jose not suggested, would have been disappointing to have missed. The photos we took at night there were some of our favorites. Also, the cliff divers at sunset was super special and we still talk about that performance. I believe that night we saw nine divers of all ranges. Our driver escorted us to the best spot to watch the performance and the fee was covered. Additionally, we visited 2 churches, and a lookout point to take some photos of the bay. We drove thru the Mercado and viewed a Bull Fighting ring that was not in use from the van. The restaurant suggestion was perfect. The food was reasonable, and very good. It was right on the beach. We ate under the open air palapa to avoid some of the beach vendors and were not bothered.

We were never rushed at any of the stops and our driver was flexible and drove safely thru town. Rudy, himself met our small foursome at lunch and introduced himself. I would not hesitate in using his company's services again.

I hope you find this helpful in your decisions.

You will be impressed by Rudy's professionalism and high level of service. Our tour was far superior to those offered by the cruise line, and less expensive as well. You may tailor the content to suit your interests, so be sure to do a little research before you arrive. My advice would be to skip the Acapulco market on a Saturday morning when it is absolutely teeming with people, but I've seen a lot of markets in a lot of countries. And I just don't like to be in the middle of crowds. We were very pleased with our tour!
