Thank you for the link. My teen son and I are making our first trip to Australia in June/July for 18 days. We're visiting MEL, Cairns, Uluru, and SYD. All the flights and hotels are booked and now I'm filling in the details so the link is very handy.

We also have a free bus which runs from outside our National Gallery and Arts Centre in St. Kilda Road. I think it runs every 30 minutes though I cannot be sure but it does go to places that the tram misses.

An interesting place to go to is The Queen Victoria Markets:

Also visit Captain Cook's Cottage in the Fitzroy Gardens, this is really cute!

This are both within the city area and accessible by tram.

Myers & David Jones are 2 large dept stores worth looking at as well if you enjoy shopping!
