Dover (UK) to Heathrow Airport - catch 1:50 PM flight to Calif.

This has probably been asked but can you give me your opinion regarding whether it is safe to book a 1:50 PM international flight out of Heathrow? The ship is supposed to arrive in Dover at 5:00 AM (Norwegian Jewel) and we'd like to fly home same day.

Assuming you need to check in 2 hours beforehand it should be feasible. Dover to Heathrow by car should take about 1 to 2 hours depending on traffic. If you are using public transport it gets a lot more difficult/time consuming.

As it is exactly 100 miles from Dover Western Docks to Heathrow Airport: it's more 2 hours than 1 hour.

 

Just for your calculation.

 

With a private transfer it should work out.

 

But you can just call NCL and ask what is the earliest flight time if you use their shuttle.

given the 100ish miles, 1 hour might be possible with Lewis Hamilton at the wheel. More realistically you're looking at 2.5 hours given the M25 (London Ring Road) is one of the most congested freeways in the world.
