Children's books in the library?

Do they have a pretty good selection of children's books in the library? I have a 3 year old and really don't want to bring books from home. So, I'm hoping there are a variety of books for those bedtime stories!

You need to put the name of your ship when asking this question. If it were me, I'd bring a couple of favorite books from home anyway.

I looked in your posting history and I think you are asking about Crown Princess? I don't know if Princess has childrens books in their library so I'll defer to one of our Princess parents. :D

I'm quite certain there are no books in the library for a toddler. The kids club has lots of books, but I don't think they'll let you take them back to your cabin (I've never asked).

 

We bring a few books from the dollar store. Then we give them to kids in our last port (or if you're not visiting places with needy kids, you could just leave them in the kids club on board).

 

The gift shop usually has a small kids area where they'll have a book or two appropriate to where the ship is visiting.

We always bring our own books as there as the selection is usually quite sparse, no matter what cruiseline. Adult books WILL be in stock in the library. Kids books, not-so-much.

 

If you are lucky, the ship's library will have kids games to check out: Memory, Uno, Checkers, etc...

On NCL Peal and Dawn there was nothing or at least very little for kids in the main library. I did not look in the kids club. I just read a post above (by CruisinMamma I think) that said RCCL will have a selecting of children's books that can be borrowed.
