grandeur boarding time from tampa

Recommended Posts

I was on the Grandeur 2/26 through 3/2. We were able to board at 1:00, very smooth and easy boarding process. Loved the Grandeur and had a great time. Our last day at sea was a doozy.... 10 to 15 foot seas, most everyone on board was sick including crew.... and it lasted for about 12 hours which is VERY unusual according to the crew.

It was still a wonderful cruise and I would love to be on the Grandeur again soon

:D

Since it is a smaller ship, boarding is quick and easy. What day in April are you going? My husband, my daughter, her boyfriend , his parents and myself are going on the 5 day starting on April 13.

Thanks for the info.

How was the cruise?

Give me some details, please! I was excited to read that you just came back. how was it???

Overall it was a very nice cruise. I loved having the spring breakers there because the energy and fun factor was all over. The casino was a bit crowded and it was difficult to find BJ tables where the players knew what they were doing. The ship is beautiful, food was fantastic, and drinks were excellent. The spring breakers were not a hindrance in any way as many have posted. I saw no pukers! I did take some alcohol on the ship in my rum runners and had no problems with those. I have rum runners that just stay in my luggage and travel with me...I think I made 2 or 3 drinks the whole week.

The schooner bar is a great place for a before dinner drink. The viking crown lounge is also a great place for an afternoon drink because you can see the whole pool deck.

I was amazed at the windjammer and its layout...no lines ever! The pool deck is nicely laid out! Beware chair hogs cause they were everywhere!

Have a great cruise!!

Port of Tampa is simple to negotiate. Check in usually starts at around 11 and they have you wait in the terminal until the ship is ready for you. Boarding starts around noon [give or take a few minutes] and cabin access is at 1 PM. You can lunch in the Windjammer or tour the public areas until then.
