TM Posted March 17, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 17, 2009 We are loooking to sail on a Saturday in July. A scheduled flight from San Francisco arrives at 1:14 pm and the ship sails at 4:30 pm. I know we need to be on board at least an hour before sailing time. Are we cutting it too close?
Putterdude Posted March 17, 2009 #2 Share Posted March 17, 2009 Each Saturday in July there are 3 cruise ships in Vancouver. Yes, you may make it if you can use US Direct but you are pushing the envelope... one hicup and you will be waiving good by to the folks on the ship. I would seriously want to be in Vancouver or any port for that matter before noon and frankly the day before. http://www.portmetrovancouver.com/about/cruiseandtourism/usdirectprocess.aspx

You won't be out of the airport until 2pm, 30 minutes into downtown, and that gives you 30 mins of wriggle (you need to be onboard 90 mins prior to departure as it's a US departure, clearing US customs as you board the cruise ship)
