pcur Posted April 29, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 29, 2004 I do because even though I've been cruising for over 30 years on about 5 cruise lines, I STILL learn something new and interesting on this board EVERY day! I like to read what's happening since I've been on a cruise, and I also like to get info on a ship or port I haven't been on/to yet. I looooooooooooove CC!! Rare TPKeller Posted April 29, 2004 #4 Share Posted April 29, 2004 Well, you can't cruise all the time, so this is a good place to cruise vicariously. Brad1185 Posted April 29, 2004 #5 Share Posted April 29, 2004 Its a great site, but dont like the deleted messages, and threads, also when they close down discussions. Sometimes they seem a bit heavy and sometimes it appears they dont want people saying too many negative comments about certain lines.
Sophie Posted April 29, 2004 #6 Share Posted April 29, 2004 Why do I LOVE Cruise Critic? These boards have been an wonderful tool for learning about cruising! I love all the great info, stories, advice and HUMOR on these boards! dougp26364 Posted April 29, 2004 #7 Share Posted April 29, 2004 Information! If it's happening on the cruise lines, you'll find it here on cruisecritic. If you have a question, you can get it answered here quickly. I also like how all cruise lines have their own place. This way I'm not wading through info on every cruise line to find what I want about a particular cruise line. It's probably the largest collection of knowledge about cruising on all the cruise lines in one, well organized place. Nancy O Posted April 29, 2004 #10 Share Posted April 29, 2004 My favorite part is reading the reviews. Especially the ones that are in depth with day by day description! It helps me escape from my daily routine and slip off for a little while. Almost as good as being there myself! Love the joke posts too! Right now I am doing research into our next cruise, and there is so much info you can find here. Plus I won an RCI aqua mouse a while back! jkrislc Posted April 29, 2004 #15 Share Posted April 29, 2004 I like the fact that the boards are cruise-line specific, so I can get information about a specific line rather than combing through a bunch of posts that aren't of interest to me. I was also a long-time contributor to a usenet board, but found that the people were getting too hostile, too much off topic, etc. and it got really annoying.
