What to do with just a few hours in Anchorage?

Okay, we get in Saturday night and leave on Sunday morning. We have booked the sled dog dinner show for Saturday night. On Sunday morning, we are leaving at noon. With just a few hours, what can we see in Anchorage Sunday morning? TIA!

http://www.anchorage.net In the past there was a walking tour listed. Request the visitor guide. Head to your library and take out Alaska Travel books, Fodor's Alaska and Frommer's Alaska both have detailed Anchorage information.

The local museum is really good, but you'd have to check their Sunday schedule to see if it fits your plans.

 

If the weather is nice, on last walk outdoors would be memorable. Try the coastal trail... it runs from near downtown for 8 miles and has awesome views of Cook Inlet the mountains beyond (sometimes Denali) and is not a bad place for wildlife/bird sightings.

 

If you need a rest, perhaps breakfast the the Snow City Cafe would be a good local option. The food is great, coffee hot and service prompt.
