Help with Juneau excursion

We are on HAL cruisetour #19 May 17-30. We are looking over the excursions offered through the cruise, but are open to less expensive options as well. We are contemplating what to do in Juneau. We are already booked on afternoon whale watching with Harv and Marv, but are wanting to possibly take a flight over the glaciers. We are already doing a Misty Fjords floatplane in Ketchikan and are debating over a glacier landing floatplane/helicopter in Juneau and/or Denali glacier landing in Denali Natl Park. Seeing this is our 1st time to Alaska, should we do both glacier landings? Both are quite pricey. If we were to do one or the other - which do we do? Any recommendations on direct bookings vs. cruise excursions for these trips? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I wouldn't do a glacier flightseeing via fixed wing or float plane out of Juneau. A glacier helicopter landing is a top choice, BUT get it cobooked with the whale watch. Otherwise you are going to be wasting at least an extra hour backtracking.

Are you going to Talkeetna on your cruisetour??? Denali Park, has more limited flights. But- a Denali glacier landing is via a ski plane, and all snow, little is any access to ice. There are several Denali "flightseeing" options to consider, along with glacier helicopter landings. My top pick is a McKinley summit flight, nothing quite as good as seeing expansive McKinley from the top. :)

You can also pay more and get glacier flightseeing with a Misty Fiords trip, with some vendors, with out it. Misty Fiords is all green.

Do not expect big price differences with ship contracted and independent, and without your own transportation, may not be the most workable?? Are you willing to get to the Denali Park airstrip from a walk via Denali Park shuttle?? Or walk to the Talkeetna office, IF going there??
