Hours for Pelican Centre?

Does anyone know the hours for the Pelican Crafts Centre?

We'd like to shop before an afternoon excursion.

 

Also, is it possible to walk to the Mt. Gay Rum visitor centre, and how do I find out how to get there?

 

I was in Barbados once, and am familiar with the location of the Pelican relative to the cruise dock. Is Mount Gay anywhere near?

I would like to know the hours also. I read elsewhere 9am-5pm and long when ships are in port. Mr. Barbados?

Pelican is open from 9-6 Monday-Friday and from 9-2 on Saturday.

 

Sundays is the-luck-of-the-draw.....most closed, some open.

 

You could walk to Mt. Gay, it's a mile or so north of the dock up Spring Garden Hwy at Brandons.

 

I would suggest that you just take the shuttle for a dollar or the city bus for US$.75. They both go right by the centre.

Has anyone been to Mt. Gay recently..cost of tour, amount of time.

They have a really nice website...http://www.mountgay.com.

 

There doesn't seem to be a price on the website, but our Frommer's guide says that the tour is $6 per person with a lunch tour option of $14.
