lsmommy Posted March 25, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 25, 2009 Have only sailed DCL and they have the kids clubs open on port days all day so you can leave the kids in the clubs to do adult only excursions. Are there any other cruise lines that have this option and if yes do they charge extra? TIA
CeleBrat Posted March 25, 2009 #2 Share Posted March 25, 2009 I've only seen it available on port days on other cruise lines for a fee. Sorry! CeleBrat
boulders Posted March 25, 2009 #3 Share Posted March 25, 2009 Carnival has it available on port days at no extra charge. We're on the Glory right now and my ds3 and dd10 are in Camp!
brenderlou Posted March 25, 2009 #4 Share Posted March 25, 2009 Carnival has it available on port days at no extra charge. We're on the Glory right now and my ds3 and dd10 are in Camp! Celebrity (Century) also had the kids club opened on port days.
crusinmama06 Posted March 25, 2009 #5 Share Posted March 25, 2009 Royal Caribbean, Celebrity and Carnival do NOT charge a port day fee. I wouldn't sail on a ship that made me pay for my child to go to the kids club during the day. So we don't. ;)
VillaHappy Posted March 25, 2009 #6 Share Posted March 25, 2009 I've only been on RC with kids. On port days, Adventure Ocean is open from 9am to 5pm, and they will take them up to the Windjammer for lunch. On sea days, they are open from 9am to 12 noon and again from 2pm to 5pm. They close from 12pm to 2pm, and you have to pick them up and take them to lunch yourself. :)
lamolesky Posted March 27, 2009 #7 Share Posted March 27, 2009 Norwegian has it open on Port days but there is a fee. It is $5 per hour for the first kid and an additional $3 per hour if you have another. While it is nice to have cruise lines who don't charge, I find it to be inexpensive compared to what we pay at home!
