We are 48 days our and have already been assigned a room.

The bookmodify screen is something that came out mere months ago, and with Carnival's evolving policy on when they say they "finalize" the guarantees I doubt there's much in the way of consistent practice yet. At this point I would still say a change is possible for you right up until you check in at the pier, at least until our collective experiences are more consistent (and Carnival gets more consistent).

I am very happy with the room they gave us I just don't want to be down graded. We are on the Pride got 8H Panorama 8203, looks like a great room.

I hope we do not get changed and was wondering the possibility of that happing.

Past experience and the experience of others on this board...is once Carnival assigns you a cabin it is VERY unlikely you will have it changed. The chances of you keeping your assignment are better than 99%...this is from a Carnival Vacation Planner. Enjoy!

Once you see it on the Modify page its set. I have not heard one person where it was changed.

This is not a very true statement. People who book a balcony gauarantee usually book at an 8 or higher category. Obstructed views are either a category 5 or a 7

Booked 8D GTY and patiently waited and used the method this weekend and found out not only did we go up 5 catagories of balcony to an 8H, but 2 complete decks.) Upgrade Fairy was "beery, beery, gooud to me".
