What Happens IF ????

What happens if tours, casino chips,credits etc. are booked and purchased in advance through the cruise line and a family emergency should require a last minute cancellation?? I know normal cruise insurance would not cover these types of expenses so would the cruise line simply cancel the tours and reimburse the amount of $$ casino credits etc.?

 

Never happened to me but was just wondering?? I always purchase casino credit in advance to eliminate 3 % charge and pre book some tours..

 

Has anyone had this experience?

I know with tours you do not pay up front, they arecharged to your OBC. If you cancel, so are the tours.

Good question. Since the tours aren't charged to your onboard account until you check in, they wouldn't be an issue. I believe OBC would be held for another cruise but I really have no idea.

I had to cancel last year and drink I had ordered and paid for on my CC was put back to my card and trips were just cancelled, and I rebooked a few months later and even my OBC was given back.

I assumed pre booked tours would simply be canceled since they are charged to your on board account. I usually purchase a certain dollar amount of casino credits which are charged immediately to my credit card. It's good to know that they would charge that amount back to the credit card.
