teacher2cruiser Posted April 5, 2009 Author #6 Share Posted April 5, 2009 So, you get past benefits with these other cruise lines if you've cruised with Carnival? You get one more credit towards being Platinum when you cruise any of these?
KenMo Posted April 5, 2009 #7 Share Posted April 5, 2009 But they each have their own loyalty program, which does not carry over to another sister line.
Wennfred Posted April 5, 2009 #8 Share Posted April 5, 2009 So, you get past benefits with these other cruise lines if you've cruised with Carnival? No. You have cruise on them to get those perks. Fred
G'ma Posted April 5, 2009 #9 Share Posted April 5, 2009 Here's a list of the member cruise lines under the Carnival umbrella: Carnival Cruise Lines Princess Cruises Holland America Line Costa Cruises P&O Cruises Cunard Line Seabourn Cruise Line Ocean Village AIDA P&O Cruises Australia Iberocruceros Past guest privileges on other brands are usually limited to discounts on some sailings. They all operate as separate entities.
dan40 Posted April 5, 2009 #10 Share Posted April 5, 2009 What are the other cruise lines that are owned by Carnival with benefits for a past cruiser? The singular past guest benefit that crosses brands is capacity controlled past guest fare discounts. No on board privileges cross over lines. So after one cruise on Carnival, you are eligible for a past guest discount [iF AVAILABLE] on Princess, or HAL, or Costa, etc., etc., but you are not eligible to attend a past guest party on those lines until you ARE a past guest of that line. 10 cruises on one line = 0 on the other lines. Cruising on one does not get you the past guest rates on another. You may get a discount, but it won't be as good. The lingo they use is Vacation Interchange Program which gets confusing with the other VIP programs.
