Best boats for 2 boys 9 and 14

Any thoughts on the best boats to keep both my boys busy

9 yr old- active loves waterslides

14 yr old - very social - will want to hang with kids his own age

 

I am leaning towards Carnival Inspiration; mostly for the waterworks

concerns= cabin size is small and the teen area is small

I have not been on those specific ships, but my boys (10 and 13) prefer Royal Caribbean. We did the Navigator in March which is the same as the Adventure and they much preferred it to the Carnival Destiny we went on in October. The water slide on the Destiny was a disappointment as it only goes into a small canal, not the pool, and the arcade and sports deck are much larger on the RCL ships. The Voyager class also has a rockwall and ice skating rink. Their teen areas are huge, too, and have a back deck that is adult-free. I hope this helps some...I keep looking at doing a Carnival again because it is sooo much cheaper, but I know my kids wouldn't enjoy it as much. Some of the Carnival ones, too, have no sports courts which is important to my 10 yo.

My 9 year old son loves Carnival. He'll go on his third in the fall. One of my friends has two boys 9 & 17 & they both love Carnival as well.
