Voyager of Seas-3/29

Recommended Posts

We usually book regular balcony cabins but splurged and got grand suite for our anniversary. It was worth every cent!! RCL is in process of upgrading suites and and perks for suite guests. The one we really liked was having access to Portofinos for breakfast and lunch. You go through Windjammer buffet then can dine in peace and quiet of Portofinos. No more scrambling to find table in Winjammer. The crew was fantastic. EVERY crewmember we passed always had a nice greeting. Even the maintenance men who probably had limited command, if any, of the English language, would say "Hi". One man in particular stands out on the Voyager. He is the Concierge, Martin, from Argentina. We had sailed with him several times before so know him pretty well. ABSOLUTLEY, the best of all RCCL's concierges!! On his own, Martin even sent us a lovely bouquet of roses. Today, Apr 19th, the Voyager is leaving Texas for Europe. We will miss her until this winter when she returns to Galveston.

Did I miss something? We were in a GS twice and I don't remember seeing Portofino's open for breakfast. Our last GS was this past January were we enjoyed the Mystery Dinner Theater.

I agree about Martin Sanchez, the concierge. He is as equally as handsome as he is wonderfully polite and goes the extra mile to please everyone.

We will be in GS on Voyager in May. Will post of a review when we return from Europe. Looking forward to the added perks.

Find out if Portofino's is now open for Breakfast and Lunch. If that is the case I'll eat there every day. Even if I have to pay extra for the breakfast and lunch.

Given the opportunity try the Wine Dinner. Its $49.00 but worth every penny.

Here's an "upside" down copy  f the menu from the Wine Dinner we attended.

Portofino's is only open for dinner. RCCL is letting suite guests use the Portofino dining room for breakfast and lunch as a place to eat the Windjammer food rather than searching for a place to eat in the Windjammer itself.

Does that include Junior Suite, too?

Hope so.

It has been stated that the new "suite perks" apply to GS and above only. The only extra you get from a JS is the cabin space and the cruise credit.
