Princess Visa Rewards: Interesting Answer Not in FAQs

Getting ready to redeem a bunch of points for upcoming cruise and could not find out penalty/no penalty etc. for "redepositing" the points if you have to cancel for a medical reason etc. (i.e. a valid "excuse" for insurance purposes causes the cancellation). Searched FAQ's etc to see if policy was similar to airlines which require a fee be paid..

Called and guess what? You have to deal w/ Princess directly to get a refund.. this is not an issue w/ us because what the very very nice representative told me to do was to redeem the points for a credit on the cruise... that way the credit goes onto the VISA right away and if you cancel you have no issue. Otherwise you would have to go back and plead your case.

OMG:eek:: I feel a debate coming on but since I don't have to monitor it....:D
