srb Posted December 6, 2004 #1 Share Posted December 6, 2004 Hi, My family and I are booked on the Regatta for the 12/21/04 Holiday Cruise. One of my kids thinks she read in a brochure that New Year's Eve is suggested as Formal Attire. Seems counter to Oceania concepts but does anyone know if Formal attire is recommended for the holiday? I could find nothing online about the possibility. I have travelled on the Regatta before and I know that you can get as fancy or as elegantly casual for evenings as you wish...its one of the many reasons I am a repeat cruiser with Oceania and not needing to bring my tux brings a smile to my face. Thanks.
sfbear Posted December 7, 2004 #2 Share Posted December 7, 2004 We're booked on the December 17th Insignia Cruise and will be celebrating both Christmas and New Years at sea. I am also curious about the accepted dress for these holidays. I had no intention of brining a tux, or even a tie for that matter. Are these special occasions exceptions to the rule ? ? ? Jancruz Posted December 7, 2004 #3 Share Posted December 7, 2004 These special occasions are no exception to the rule..wear what you are comfotable in..that is country club casual..there will be men in ties and ladys in sequins..but you can wear anything you want to....
