Do you take pictures of your food?

I really want to take pictures of the food I eat. Have you done it? Do your table mates give you weird looks? Or do they do it too? :p

Absolutely!!! I am a scrapbooker by nature, so I take pics of everything!!! LOL For my 1st cruise, I took a pic of EVERYTHING we ate and did a 2-page collage layout of it. I get so many compliments from it. I also get a lot of people who haven't cruised yet ask what the food is like, so I think a picture gives them a great idea!!!

Yes, I have. I really don't pay much attention to my tablemates but DH gets fussy. He is not allowed to life a fork until I get the perfect shot. These are from my Carnival album. I still have fond memories of each meal

Oh my!! The dessert buffet is really impressive. I am extremely sad they don't have it with RCL, I will miss that, being my first cruise and all :(

People in the Dining Room taken picture of the foods all the time. I just got off from Princess 3 weeks ago. I took pictures of all the foods that I ate from appertizer, soup, salad, entry, to dessert. I did this everyday on the 7 days cruise. I like the presentation of the foods.

I plan to do this for our first upcoming cruise too. I will take pictures of everything I eat and don't eat, even the donuts and frozen yogurt! I bought a new camera specifically for taking close up shots of food!!

And yes, I do this at home and when we eat out! I tend to blog about food!

Wow, I'm shocked to see so many people here that take pictures of the food! I never would have known. I must be sitting at the wrong tables in the dining room, because I haven't seen anyone else doing it either.

I don't do it myself (I'm terrible with cameras) but my daughter loves to do it. Every single course is captured on the digital camera. I used to worry that our tablemates would find it rude, but none of them have seemed to care. Sometimes they even offer their own plates up for a photo op! Besides, it's always fun to look back on the pictures and see what delicious food you enjoyed!

Oh that's too funny! I would be thrilled if table mates allowed me to photograph their food too!! Hubby is always too anxious, like hurry up already, I want to eat!!

I ALWAYS take pics of my food. The only strange looks I get is from my travel companions who know not to TOUCH  their food until I've taken the picture!:D You can llok at my links below for all kinds of goodies! But of course, I also take pictures of food I make at home when it comes out really good in case I ever write a cookbook.

The only pic I took was of the frog legs. I knew no one would believe I tried them if I didn't give them a before, and after, picture to prove it! I will probably take pictures this time around. I know I tried lots of new things on my first cruise, but since I don't have pictures I know I'm forgetting some of them. The quality is not so great on the after pic but it gets the point across. I probably would have eaten more of it but the sauce was gross. My gf was really grossed out by the fact that you can see his toes in the first pic!

Im sorry I would not have been able to eat that.....! It is not likely though that I would have ordered it . I looks like it (the frog) was caught while dancing a jig, and then skinned and cooked. Oh no, no frog's legs for me, sorry.

and I dont take pics of my food, but love to look at everyone else's, even frog legs!

LOL sparky8, I would never have ordered them anywhere else but I was trying to be adventurous on my first cruise. They actually weren't that bad if you can get over the look of them. Tastes like chicken. I would have ordered more if the sauce wasn't so gross.

I am a memeber of a meat smoking and cureing / sausage making site. We have our own term for food pics .

Food Porn.

I allways try and take pics of the more interesting dishes that i am served on a cruise.

Most of the pics i take are of food or when someone says, Hey,Hold my beer and watch this!

You know, I didn't realize how much I loved breakfast when traveling until my friends back home saw our travel photos. They asked me, "How many photos of breakfast do you really need to take?!!!" LOL

I love taking photos of food. The photos take me back to the smells, sounds, and sights around me when enjoying those meals. :)

I love taking pictures of food. Some food is just beautiful and requires pictures before consuming. I take pictures on cruises, at restaurants, at home or anywhere beautiful food can be found. My family thinks I'm strange, but indulge me. I have a two albums dedicated to food on my facebook page one called Beautiful Sushi and the other called Food Porn. :D

You bet, it’s in my signature below for anyone to see when I post on the boards.

Did it for past 3 cruises and have a special web site just for food related pics. Very useful to show friends and coworkers on what we ate on each cruise as well as in various board discussions as invariably the discussion will turn into food and it’s much easier to show the people what the food looks like than to describe it:

2009 Celebrity:

Will be on RCI in 6 days, so will do the same and upload those pictures once I return.

And then for 2011, will be looking to go on Princess as my tour of various cruise lines continues and will do that on Princess.

I take pictures of food at disney world, and plan on taking pictures of the food on our Christmas cruise on carnival. I'll try to post some when we get back.

Looking at food pics from other's vacations has saved me from ordering things I would not have liked.... and talked me into ordering things that I wasn't sure about. :D

How else are you doing to remember what you ate on your cruise? I love taking pictures of the food and seeing others pictures of what they had.

One of the guests at our wedding took pictures of all the courses and these are probably in the top 20 favourite pictures.

I always do since I have been on CC. No odd looks or I just don't notice. Use a 35mm looking digital camera with flash.
