DougandEric Posted May 12, 2009 #1 Share Posted May 12, 2009 What is your favorite bar for pre-dinner cocktails? When on the Diamond, we liked the Wheelhouse. I had thought Skywalkers would be a great place but the bar wasn't open until later in the evening - too bad. Doug
paul929207 Posted May 12, 2009 #2 Share Posted May 12, 2009 We like the casino bar on the small ships (Pacific, Royal and Tahitian/Ocean). There is a piano player there each evening.

paul929207 Posted May 12, 2009 #5 Share Posted May 12, 2009 Do any of the bars have happy hour specials or hot hors d'ouevres? Not to my knowledge. They have the little salty snacks in most of the bars.

Rare 5:00_Somewhere Posted May 13, 2009 #9 Share Posted May 13, 2009 The Wheelhouse has always been our favorite pre-dinner cocktail bar since we first discovered it on our first Grand Class cruise (our second actual cruise.) Though, we did discover Adagio on the Ruby last December, and we liked that quite a lot, as well - a close number 2. On the R-class Tahitian Princess we fell in love with the Club Bar just outside the diningroom for our pre-dinner cocktail, though that may have been mostly due to the fabulous bartenders on our particular cruise, and because it seemed to be where all the "cool kids" hung out. :D After dinner, though, the casino bar was definitely the place to be. venusbello1 Posted May 13, 2009 #11 Share Posted May 13, 2009 Speaking to my two favorite ships, the Royal, the Club bar for pre-dinner cocktails, the wait staff were excellent and even had a special section setup for us. On the Coral, Crooner's all the way... the wait staff had "our" area all set up for us and were fantastic (3 sailings in a row, albeit a few months apar!). Happy cruising!
